Release and Waiver for Minor Artists

As the parent or guardian of the minor artist named in the registration form, I acknowledge that by proceeding

with the submission process, I am granting permission for the minor to participate in the Kid's Heart Show a division of Kid’s Heart and Art, hosted by Kristina Smith.

By participating, I understand and agree to the following terms:

1. Artwork Display and Use

The minor artist’s artwork will be displayed at the event and may also be featured in

promotional materials, including but not limited to:

•Physical exhibitions at the event location

•Photographs, videos, and digital images taken during the event

•Promotional materials, press releases, and social media content related to the event

2. No Financial Compensation

I acknowledge that participation in this event is voluntary and that neither the minor artist nor I

will receive financial compensation, royalties, or any other form of payment for the display or

use of the artwork or likeness. Proceeds from the sale of enrolled artwork will be donated by

the Kid’s Heart Show and Kid’s Heart and Art to the designated 2026 charity: the Ronald

McDonald House of SWVA.

3. Ownership of Artwork

By participating, the minor artist releases full ownership of the enrolled artwork and forfeits the

right to sell, distribute, or display it outside of the event unless otherwise agreed upon in

writing.

4. Liability and Indemnity

I acknowledge that the event organizers are not responsible for any loss or damage to the

minor artist’s artwork or personal property during the event. I agree to release, indemnify, and

hold harmless the event organizers, affiliates, staff, and volunteers from any claims or liabilities

related to the minor artist’s participation.

Additionally, I understand that as the parent or guardian, I am required to be present for the

duration of the Kid’s Heart Show if my Artist is in attendance. No babysitting services will be

supplied by the organization.
